We are currently seeking a Full-Time Animal Services Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our community by responding to animal-related calls and complaints for services such as animal care, control, rescue, and relocation. You will be joining a team that works together to create change and provides a meaningful impact every day for the animals and our community.
Here’s what we ask of you to take our Animal Services team to the next level.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to navigate streets and county roads and locate addresses or described locations with little to no difficulty.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, make decisions, and remain emotionally resilient while working in high-stress situations.
- Sort and prioritize calls for service based on high and low priority status and must be able to determine the most logical route to each.
- Display strong maturity, good judgment, professional conduct, and personal appearance.
- Animal Handling experience (may do basic evaluations and vaccines)
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Preferred background in law enforcement, animal handling, operating motor vehicles, and other direct experience is a plus.
