Responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops to complete continual assessment of risk and control environment to identify, measure, monitor and manage the risks to which our Annuity customers are exposed.
  • Support reporting to Governance committees on the key risks, controls and actions for Annuity customers, the effectiveness of our Risk Management Framework and exposures against appetite.
  • Review and challenge process & Policy, risk and control activities to determine effectiveness and report on weaknesses.
  • Challenges the design and performance of existing controls at senior management level, internally and externally to recommend improvements as appropriate.
  • Working closely with outsource providers to ensure risk and control profile is well understood, documented and in line with risk appetite.
  • Build relationships with Risk peers across the three lines of defence and senior managers across the Group to support the implementation of an effective Risk Management Framework for Annuities.
  • Continuously developing and maintaining technical knowledge and applying this in conjunction with business awareness in order to provide review, challenge and consultancy.
  • Expressing technical information in plain language for stakeholders with a range of technical knowledge.
  • Managing a variety of risk management related tasks and activities concurrently meeting expectations on agreed deliverables and timescales.Support, and as relevant lead delivery of Client Services risk plan, to fulfil business Objectives.
