Working; Shift 4 on 4 off 1900 – 0700
Salary: £38’000 - £45’000 DOE

The role is required to work within the Operations team, to complete shipments from start to finish. The role desires a candidate whom is capable to self-management and prioritise workloads, capable to operate a variety of transport modes across Import, export and cross trade movements.

Main Role Accountabilities

  • Ensure quotation requests from customers are responded to in a timely manner (Within KPI), providing required follow up and inputting into the company system if the quotation comes to fruition.
  • Answering and returning customer emails, queries and tracking requests in a timely manner and to agreed standards. Acting in a professional manner and always respond positively to customers/colleagues.

• Investigate and implement the most cost-effective dispatch of each shipment in accordance with the customers’ instructions. • Liaise and negotiate and secure services with the suppliers to ensure their costs are being provided at the time of booking and secure services with written booking instructions which are recorded within job file along with any/all costs incurred.
• Manage all necessary records of shipments in and out of the Heathrow ETSF facility in compliance with AEO, UK Customs Law, IE NCTS, ETSF Records, C88, Dangerous goods, International shipping and GBA organizational policy & procedure. •

Produce all required documentation such as AWB, BOL, CMR, C88, SAD & CSD

  • Participate, deliver and receive clear handovers between shift colleagues ensuring that all job files are managed from Start to finish including financial responsibility for recording services engaged throughout the shipment cycle,
  • Ensuring Customs Entries are being completed as per the written instructions from the customer or as per the agreed customer SOP. Ensuring personal awareness of relevant import/Export law and procedures; tariffs and duties; licenses and restrictions.
  • Adhere to health and safety policy, Aviation Security and GBA policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure each file documentation is recorded within the job file including all supporting paperwork/emails etc are contained. Also to ensure
  • Liaise with and when required undertake Warehouse and Transport Department functions (Including security screening).
  • Ensuring at all times any generic email group mailboxes are clean and contain only latest relevant email chain to provide a clear scope of live workloads and to efficient aid shift handovers.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise as well as focus on the detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work pro-actively using own initiative delivering where required problem-solving solutions.
  • Previous experience dealing with varied customer base and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to consider several possible options and decide on most appropriate method.
  • Excellent process and planning skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the impact of actions. Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience working in Imports / Exports in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment, preferably with aerospace logistics industry experience.
  • Customs Declaration Service knowledge essential, with a solid background in UK Customs law and procedures.

• Boxtop/ASM experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided. • Sound knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Word, PP, Excel. Project management software an advantage.

  • Dangerous Goods Compliant an advantage.
