REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry or pharmaceutical.
  • 5 years of marketing and/or business development experience.
  • Experience in the personal care or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix, multi-national organization.
  • Commercial development acumen including value chain analysis, customer needs analysis, value proposition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team facilitating skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to drive results through cross functional environments.
  • Expected travel approximately 30%.

Lubrizol Life Science is a leading provider of innovative solutions across the beauty care, home care, oral care, and pharmaceutical industries. We specialize in leveraging advanced materials technologies to create high-performance products that meet the diverse needs from our clients in various industries. We are looking for an experienced New Business Development Manager with a strong background in beauty and home care, and pharmaceutical industries to drive our growth in these sectors.
The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities in the beauty, home care, oral care, and pharmaceutical markets. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, promotion tool design, building strong relationships with potential clients and partners and front-line customer communication. A background in cosmetics and pharma ingredient industries, and FMCG is highly preferred to effectively communicate and leverage our product offerings with customers across the APAC region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends in the beauty, home care, oral care, and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and identify potential areas for growth.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, particularly advancements in materials innovation and sustainable technology.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve Lubrizol’s growth targets.
  • Identify target markets, customer segments, and potential partners.
  • Create and manage a pipeline of potential business opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct presentations and pitch proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits of Lubrizol solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Product and Service Development:
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., R&D, Marketing, Sales) to develop innovative and on-trend solutions.
  • Provide market feedback and insights to guide product development.
  • Ensure new products meet market needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
  • Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets for new business.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Report on business development activities, performance, and results to senior management.
  • Networking and Industry Events:
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Network with industry professionals and potential clients to generate leads.
  • Promote the company’s brand and value proposition in the market.
