This position reports directly to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customers with courteous and professional in-home servicing of major appliances
  • Conduct appliance assessments to determine the issue
  • Resolve installation issues
  • Estimate the costs of repairs/replacements
  • Order parts and ensure inventory supply levels are sufficiently maintained
  • Communicate with customers regarding details of the assessment and servicing required
  • Provide information to assist customers in obtaining optimum performance of their products
  • Complete all service documentation, describing repairs in detail and reporting identification of repaired stock
  • Adhere to all health and safety, security, building and departmental procedures
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of shop tools and vehicles
  • Prepare reports

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years previous experience and/or education in major appliance service
  • Valid driver’s license (must be able to provide a clean driving abstract)
  • Outstanding Customer Service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and courteous phone etiquette
  • Highly developed technical, investigative, and analytical skills
  • Punctuality and dependability a must
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Appliance Technician certification or willingness to obtain one
