YOUR OPPORTUNITY

BDO Canada is seeking an Application Analyst to join our National Assurance & Accounting team. This position can be based out of any of our Canadian offices and includes the following responsibilities:

  • Develop templates and support users in various applications within BDO’s assurance and accounting practice.
  • Template design & testing, software testing and deployment, report design and preparation, along with user support based on content provided by the National Accounting and National Assurance departments
  • Templates are accounting and audit in nature and are developed mostly in MS Office in both English and French.
  • Design and prepare internal-use reports to stakeholders
  • Assist users with questions
  • Perform user acceptance testing of new software releases and deployment packages
  • Prepare or assist in the development and delivery of training programs for users or IT
  • Create and update internal publications and guidance including BDO Intranet postings
  • Complete and assist with other projects or tasks as required

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • You have at least 1 year experience in a similar role
  • If you have familiarity with assurance and accounting, it would be considered an asset
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to work in a team environment
  • You have strong computer skills including MS Office as well as the ability to learn software quickly
  • If you have knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 and Power BI it will be considered a strong asset
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skillsIf you are bilingual (English/French), it will be considered a strong asset
