POSITION SUMMARY
The Calgary Stampede is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Information Technology team in the role of Application and Solution Support Supervisor. In this role, you will lead our application support team, combining your expertise in commercial off-the-shelf applications with integrations and custom development to address various business needs, promote efficiency, and ensure consistency throughout the application lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree preferred, experience will also be considered.
- 4+ years leading teams.
- Proven leadership in application support and development, managing overlapping projects.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Cooperative, collaborative management style.
- Strong experience in software evaluation and selection, including needs assessment to ensure selected products have the necessary capabilities.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and licensing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong Logical Skills; proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Execute strategic vision for team and implement systems, procedures, and governance.
- Lead and mentor the application support team to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Provide technical guidance for professional development.
- Ensure effective back-end support for business applications.
- Integrate applications seamlessly through effective custom development.
- Monitor application performance, implementing optimization strategies.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for business integrations.
- Oversee development projects, emphasizing application support.
- Evaluate and implement best practices for application support and development.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes for issue resolution before deployment.
- Manage testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Oversee the support and maintenance of software applications, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Foster the effective use of existing features within applications.
- Partner with other business units to consolidate and transition to organization-wide applications.
- Collaborate with Business Services leadership to align strategies with organizational goals.
