We are on the lookout for a/an Application Cloud Architect to join our team for working with European Institutions based in Brussels in a Near side position.

For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.

Your role

• Design and develop software components in JavaScript and Java
• Adaptations of existing modules, development and re-factoring of existing code
• Work with Oracle Databases
• Perform technical unit tests as well as quality assurance of new modules/developments.
• Follow-up incidents, analysis of production issues and elaboration of solutions (third level support and bug fixing for local IT applications)
• Contact and follow-up with the infrastructure supplier (DIGIT) and/or with the manufacturer of specific component (e.g. Oracle)
• Perform data analysis and data modelling
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
• Production of software architecture documents.
• Review of the architecture of existing systems.
• Interaction with the business analysts, customers, users, project leaders and developers

Who we think you are

• At least 6 years of experience with Java (min. competence level 5)
• At least 3 years of experience with REST webservices (min. competence level 4);
• At least 2 years of experience with Angular (version 2 or later) (min. competence level 2);
• At least 5 years of experience with each of the following technologies: Spring Boot, JPA (or Hibernate), SQL (min. competence level 5).
• At least 3 years of experience with Container Application Development (Kubernetes or Docker) (min. competence level 3);
• At least 1 year of experience with DevOps / Continuous Deployment (e.g. Jenkins) (min. competence level 2);
• At least 1 year of experience with event streaming platform (e.g. Kafka) (min. competence level 2).
