You could therefore either be a recent graduate from a university or higher vocational education program, or someone with a few years of relevant work experience. It is therefore essential that you are comfortable working with clients and have a good understanding of retail processes. A structured approach to work and takes on challenges in work with positivity and a solution oriented mindset.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Computer science, IT, system development or equivalent work experience.
• Rest API
• Jira service desk - previous experience/knowledge
• Norwegian - fluent in verbal and written
• English - comfortable in communicating in English both verbal and writing
• Highly developed social competence and pedagogical & presentation skills
• Having skills in an additional language, such as Spanish or similar, would be considered advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE

When building software, you go through many stages. From initial requirements to product launch, it’s integral to ensure that everything works according to specification. Your mission as an Application Consultant at Extenda Retail you will work close to the client’s environment and function as an expert on the retail process by guiding our client’s on the capacity of our product. You will function as an enabler of success by analyzing their needs and translating them into functional requirements for the solution. With a solid understanding of workflows, processes and the market you will be in the heart of the business as you contribute to our continuous growth.
You will be part of a cross-functional team where you will collaborate closely with development teams as well as internal support teams to share knowledge, educate about product updates and new features. You will also have direct customer interaction, including meetings, follow-ups, and service desk responsibilities, as well as conducting onboarding and training sessions for both new and existing clients and partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Avoid customized solutions – use standard product/best practise
• Clarify requirements for development teams
• Discuss the best solution with clients (long and short term)
• Functional requirement gathering and analysis
• Functional solution design of specific functions
• Lead and conduct workshops
• Perform product-related activities such as test, installation, configuration and troubleshooting issues with software and retail processes.
• Solution demo for clients and stakeholders
• Understanding how the system is used by end users
