Job Description
The Application Development Engineer is in charge of preparing, understanding, researching, executing, analyzing and reporting all the activities related to the application development of Lunaphore products requested by the Application Development Team Leader.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Multidisciplinary scientific background in biomedical engineering, biology and microfluidics.
- You have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing bioassays, specializing in spatial biology, single-cell analysis, or histopathology fields in research and/or diagnostic markets.
- Confident to work in a biology laboratory.
- Ability to plan, perform, analyze and report experiments.
- Competency in report writing and in presentations making.
- Fluent in oral and written English.

Responsibilities:
- Development and transfer of newly develop assays into Lunaphore’s product
- Take part in sustaining activities, including:
- 3rd level customer support
- Troubleshooting of instruments out from production
- Troubleshooting of R&D instruments
- Understand and perform immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry techniques for specific biomarkers, including:
- Weekly planning of experimental activities
- Execution of the experiments
- Image acquisition and processing
- Analysis of the results
- Plan, execute and report all activities linked to their assigned development projects.
- Complete all the documentation needed and report effectively to the supervisor and to the team through written presentations and reports, while respecting the quality management system of the company.
- Suggest possible improvements to the rest of the team using the adequate channels and provide data to help taking decisions and organizing the work.
- Be up to date about the state of the art in the working domain and explore possible solutions.
- Participate in activities related to the correct functioning of the company. Especially Organization tasks provided by the directors.
- Contribute to maintain and improve the quality system in order to comply with all applicable regulation and standards, especially with ISO 9001.
