Description:
SENIORITY/ EXPERIENCE
- It would be expected that the candidate would have a minimum of 3 years of development experience, preferably working with Murex applications
- 3+ year experience working directly with users to gather/ analyse requirements and translation into a technical solution
SOFT SKILLS
- Ability to take responsibility for project/enhancement delivery from initiation to implementation and ensure delivery under tight schedules.
- Articulate with a high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work with other teams and manage those teams to achieve project deliverables.
- Team Player.
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
- Banking Background, Specifically in Risk Management and/ or Treasury (Desirable, not a must)
Understanding of (Desirable, not a must):
- Market Risk Concepts (VaR, Greeks, etc)
- FRTB Regulations
- IMM Regulations
- reasury products including Derivatives, Fixed Income and Money
- Market products
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Murex system in a Banking environment
- Murex MRA and/or FRTB (Desirable, not a must)
- RDBMS - Oracle
- Unix/Linux OS
- Unix Scripting
- Experience with Job Schedulers such as Control-M (Desirable, not a must)
- Strong analytical skills and proactive in providing system solutions
- Candidate must be able to apply good w orking know ledge of project
- procedures, w ork flow s, and milestones in order to complete projects assigned.

Responsibilities:
Developer for Market Risk Management application team with the following responsibilities.
1. Gather and understand requirements, Impact analysis, cost estimation, production of comprehensive functional and technical specification.
2. The development of enhancements to the Risk Systems. This will involve both ‘hands on’ development as well as working with vendor to deliver the solution.
3. The implementation, customisation and support of vendor systems components (such as Murex Market Risk Limit

5. System testing, trouble shooting, code review and quality control.
6. Managing user’s expectations.
7. Offer third line support to the production support team.
