At KWR, you work on sustainable solutions for clean and safe drinking water. As an Application Engineer, you play a key role in our mission. With your technical expertise and sense of process optimisation, you will ensure that our applications and systems seamlessly meet the needs of researchers and staff.
What will you do?

As an Application Engineer, you will ensure that our core applications such as AFAS, AllSolutions, and LabWare run smoothly and stay in line with organisational needs. Your work has a direct impact on important processes, such as project management, laboratory analyses and reporting. Some of your tasks include:

  • Application management: You maintain and optimise core applications, keeping them efficient and reliable.
  • Innovation and automation: Using modern tools such as APIs, Power Apps and integrations, you build smart solutions for complex processes.
  • User support: You help colleagues with clear manuals, training and technical support.
  • System integrations: You make sure our systems work effortlessly with each other by managing interfaces and links.
  • Process improvement: You analyse work processes and devise improvements that make a real difference.
  • Relationship management: You maintain good contacts with suppliers and other stakeholders.

Who are you?

You are technically savvy, analytical and have a passion for improving processes. You feel at home in a dynamic environment and enjoy working with diverse teams. We are looking for someone with:

  • Application management experience: You have knowledge of systems such as AFAS, LabWare or similar applications.
  • Technical and functional skills: You translate needs into smart technical solutions.
  • Broad IT knowledge: You have experience with Microsoft products, Azure Cloud, databases and programming languages such as Python or C#.
  • Strong communication skills: You can explain, collaborate and document well.
  • Ownership and proactivity: You take responsibility and always look for ways to improve processes.
  • Flexibility and team spirit: You like variety and enjoy working in a small, agile team.
