Application Engineer / Specialist

Greenlight Innovation is the industry leader in fuel cell testing and manufacturing equipment. We are working closely with our customers to develop and build the next generation of hydrogen fuel cell and electrolyser.

We are growing and hiring an Application Engineer / Specialist to configure, test, and provide support for Greenlight Innovation’s proprietary SCADA software. Responsibilities include:

• Prepare software configuration packages using the product specification to create a set of configuration files tailored to the project.
• Identify sub-components required and create files to allow the system to function accordingly.
• Create graphical user interfaces representing the product systems.
• Develop custom features when a requirement falls outside of our standard.
• Communicate with the Systems and Electrical Engineers to complete the project.
• Develop and maintain automated configuration tools using Python.
• Follow quality control processes to check software configuration packages.
• Assist other engineering departments in resolving software issues.
• Create and update software documentation (procedures, checklists, processes, etc.)
• Test the main software suite and provide feedback to the development team.
• Other duties as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3 plus years of experience in a similar role.
• Degree or Diploma in a related technical discipline.
• Registration with EGBC is mandatory to use the title Engineer; the title Specialist is required for those not registered.
• Experience with Python, C++, or other object-oriented programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Project coordination or experience creating and improving processes is an asset.
• Experience with NumPy and pandas is an asset.
  Salary: $72,000 to $85,000
