Application Programmer

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Application Programmer to join our team. This role involves designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting both new and existing web applications. The Application Programmer will also be responsible for maintaining and supporting these applications while monitoring and improving the performance of the customer-agency’s replacement software. Additionally, the role requires technical knowledge transfer, training, and the active participation in Scrum ceremonies and team meetings.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience:
• At least 2 years of full-stack experience, including expertise in:
• C#
• ASP.NET Core

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Additional Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience developing applications in MVC architecture using .NET Core 2.x or 3.x, or .NET 5 and greater.
• Familiarity with Bootstrap for front-end development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for interactive and dynamic web applications.
• Experience with SQL Server and writing efficient queries for database management.
• Knowledge of DevOps Practices such as CI/CD for continuous integration and delivery.
• Additional Skills:
• At least 1 year of experience with Vue or React frameworks.
• Experience working with large teams or collaborating with other team members on complex projects.
• Experience with client engagements, including design, delivery, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of applications.
• Previous experience working within a dynamic Scrum team environment.

• Web Application Development:
• Design, code, compile, test, debug, and document both new and existing web applications.
• Maintain and provide ongoing support for existing applications, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning as required.
• Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
• Monitor, review, and audit the performance of the customer-agency’s replacement software.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement performance enhancements to optimize the software’s functionality and efficiency.
• Technical Knowledge Transfer & Training:
• Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, and documentation to OTS and Customer-Agency staff for all requested work.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is produced and accessible for future reference.
• Collaboration & Design Sessions:
• Actively participate in all necessary team meetings, design sessions, and Scrum ceremonies.
• Provide feedback and detailed design and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with project goals and team expectations.
• Special Projects & Additional Tasks:
• Perform other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed by management.
• Contribute to the overall success of the project by taking ownership of tasks and collaborating with team members.
