Description:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Application Scientist to work closely with the product management and R&D teams by providing immunological product application data for customers in the IVD industry. Work includes versatile and interesting tasks in experiment planning and reporting, method development and application lab management within the Global R&D team. The position is fixed-term substitute for parental leave and is located in Espoo, Finland.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
- Supporting product management and customers by generating application data for antibody and antigen products
- Planning and coordinating experiments pertaining to application data requests (e.g. lateral flow (LF), fluorescence immunoassay (FIA), chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) applicability and kinetics)
- Sourcing of materials for the experiments
- Interpretation of the results and reporting
- Translating the data into customer facing materials
- Providing internal technical support for product management and commercial operations teams
- Participating in the laboratory work
Your experience and skills:
- MSc or PhD degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines
- Expertise and hands on experience in immunological methods e.g. ELISA/FIA, LF, CLIA, and BLI
- Excellent written and verbal skills in Finnish and English
- Knowledge of quality system and biosafety
- Innovative mindset and willingness to learn
- Strong logical reasoning and collaboration skills
- Great organizing skills with can do attitude
