Description:

This position will assist in the development and creation of high quality market ready products showcasing the Sensient range of unique and innovative flavours and extracts. A successful Application Technologist will have the practical skills, creativity and knowledge to create & produce a wide range of sweet products across dairy, bakery & confectionery categories using Sensient flavors, colours and ingredients.
The Jobholder will have some understanding of the complex nature of the interactions between flavors, ingredients, colours and manufacturing processes used in the bakery, dairy, confectionery & beverage industries and will be able to exploit this knowledge, translating it into great tasting market viable products that exceed the customer’s expectations. The ability to rapidly understand and act / respond upon customer’s feedback are vital for the jobholder to be successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on laboratory work to create new sweet products that are of a high market-ready standard
  • Responsible for daily flavour and colour selections that meet customer, technical, regulatory & commercial requirements.
  • Responsible for raw materials stock management & general lab technician duties
  • Work with sales & marketing departments to be ahead of latest food trends & be able to creatively apply these trends into application products.
  • Contribute to the local, regional & global product flavour libraries ensuring information is accurate & up to date
  • To provide support to the European Account Managers for technical customer presentations. This may include some European travel.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized laboratory environment, in accordance with our health and safety policies.
