Some of your day-to-day duties in this App Support Engineer role will include:

  • Ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience
  • Provide end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
  • Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
  • Identity issues for escalation and communication and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders

The ideal candidate for this App Support Engineer role will have expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services and knowledge of front-office trading applications and EMEA equity markets. Additional qualifications include:

  • Experience in Incident and Problem management
  • Working knowledge in one or more general-purpose programming languages (Unix Shell, Python) plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Demonstrate knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on-premises and public cloud
  • Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
