We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our evolving IT function in Manchester. We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide customer focused 1st and 2nd line support, manage incidents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems.

Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Application Support:
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line application support, managing incidents and escalations through to resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, internal and/or 3rd party support teams.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to recreate, debug, identify, and resolve issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis of issues to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Proactive Support & Maintenance:
  • Create, review, and maintain support documentation for deploying and configuring applications.
  • Monitor, test, and deploy application updates & patches.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of systems within the application landscape.
  • Project Support:
  • Support internal projects with technical design reviews and environment builds/deployment.

As part of this role, you will be required to form part of the on-call rota to respond to out-of-hours critical incidents.
