SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and verbal/written communication (English/Spanish)
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Nice to have experience working with Apigee API management platform.
• Designing, developing, and deploying API proxies.
• Configuring API policies for security, traffic management, mediation, and analytics.
• Implementing OAuth, SAML, and other security protocols within Apigee.
• Creating and managing API products and developer portals.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting API performance and issues using Apigee’s analytics and logging tools.
• Integrating Apigee with backend services and third-party systems.
• Nice to have experience in application development and integration with one or more of the following - Java, JavaScript, Kafka
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
• Required Experience in Java, including:
• Developing and maintaining Java-based applications.
• Experience with Java frameworks.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Debugging and optimizing Java applications for performance.
• Experience with microservices architecture, including:
• Designing and implementing microservices using Java.
• Utilizing Spring Boot for building microservices.
• Working with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Ensuring scalability and reliability of microservices.
• Continuous Delivery, including source control practices, versioning, branching, pipeline development, automation acceptance, and release management Experience with application and performance tuning

The Applications Developer III is responsible for the analysis, design, construction, configuration, testing, and implementation of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology. The developer needs to have a sharp eye for spotting defects and should be a team player and excellent communicator.
