2HB Incorporated is seeking a Application Developer in order to support its government customer in Chantilly, VA.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

The Candidate shall work closely with the team as well as corporate and community-wide customers; however, the project manager will manage the priorities.

• Work with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
• Track program progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Serve as a geospatial technology and mobile development expert.
• Support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements.
• Provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms.
• Interact with the Sponsor’s Enterprise teams to integrate Sponsor’s geospatial mission data within a common, enterprise web application, to include system administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, and related services.
• Develop mobile applications.
• Proficient with both Android and iOS app development.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated experience with strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services.
• Demonstrated ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript.
• Demonstrated experience working with teams to manage software development activities.
• Demonstrated experience working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design.
• Demonstrated experience managing iterative software development releases.
• Demonstrated experience tracking development sprints using JIRA.
• Demonstrated experience managing source code in Github and Gitlab.
• Demonstrated experience developing test plans.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical support and training to a broad client base.
• Demonstrated experience understanding emerging technical trends.
• Demonstrated experience in software engineering and development
• Demonstrated experience supporting technical operations.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated experience with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated experience documenting process and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience with tool idea conceptualization and requirements design.
• Demonstrated experience working with Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
