Now, let’s talk about the role itself. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the BW Sales Team as Applications Engineer who will support our Sales Team for the success of revenue generation and growth for BW and can thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a positive can-do attitude, impeccable integrity, and excellent communication skills.
This position will report to the Sr. Sales Manager and the candidate of choice is willing to accept the challenge to deliver to our customers best in class engineered solutions for motion products that excel in harsh and extreme environments.
This role can be remote or hybrid position depending on location. The ideal candidate has a high level of energy, self-direction, accountability and has a proven track record of designing complex systems in the industrial automation sector and delivering the BW Signature Customer Experience to prospects and customers to create tailored solutions that meet customer needs and build strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the Signature Experience to customers and prospects (Learn more: BW Signature Experience)
  • Apply mechanical engineering concepts to develop systems that meet customer’s needs
  • Provide quotes to customers in conjunction with respective sales team
  • Identify and documents customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with key accounts, prospects and the Sales Team
  • Develop tools that make interaction with customers more efficient, and predictable
  • Provide efficient responses to sales and customer questions
  • Support the region in implementing target market programs and closing new business
  • Make the necessary engineering calculations to support product recommendations.
  • Prepare drawings and/or models of product systems
  • Develop thorough understanding of BW product line and our value proposition
  • Provide input to product feature enhancements and process improvements
  • Keep up to date with competitor’s products
  • Develops an understanding of switches, sensors, actuators, motors, and controllers employed in the motion industry
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
