EXPERIENCE

  • Service Desk experience 4+ Years
  • Has worked in Application Support Team at 2nd or 3rd Line, supporting COTS or bespoke solutions 2+ Years.
  • Has experience in an Application Development Environment delivering products and SaaS configuration.
  • Has experience working in Projects delivering on technical tasks.
  • Has used and developed and configured applications using Code or PowerShell.
  • Has experience of working with SQL, data Integrations or transformations.
  • Used applications to automate business processes.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and techniques.
  • Previous involvement with digital transformational initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE

Essential

  • Microsoft Azure, Azure Portal (Resources, services, and application components).
  • PowerShell.

Responsibilities:

MAIN PURPOSE & GOALS

We are looking for a talented Applications Engineer to join our team and focus on supporting and building our technology estate to enable business strategy. The role will be essential in providing 3rd Line support to our Applications & Systems. The Engineer role will focus on ensuring our applications and systems landscape are stable through maintenance and proactive change, whilst also supporting us on our digital transformation journey through design and innovation as we meet our business goals.
We can accommodate Hybrid working. There will be a requirement to travel to our head office in Shirley or our sites to support business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide level 3 support for a range of products across the business, maintaining KPIs.
  • Enable digital transformation initiatives, focusing on Product and Platforms to meet data and integration requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and projects to understand business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Document processes, procedures and best practice for platform build and support.
  • Identify and implement maintenance and system optimizations across applications and data platforms.
  • Deliver Application projects independently or within a wider project team.
  • Develop and maintain front office and back-office databases, integrations, and configurations.
  • Ensure data and platforms are maintained and protected through InfoSec best practices.
  • Identify and implement Service Improvement across Application Services.
  • Automate business process where possible.
