Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA.

You will bring the following skills and knowledge:

• Master of Science in Physics, Material Science, or Chemistry. PhD highly preferred.
• Thin film processing and analysis experience.
• Bilingual English/Japanese preferred

• Manages liquid and gas delivery product application development.
• Provides written and verbal communication including technical marketing, product development, implementation and problem-solving support of complex products to meet customer applications.
• Translates requirements of technical documents into the equipment and software configurations required for internal and external support.
• Creates application documentation, refines procedures, and identifies ways to improve and capture best known methods and processes in preparation and completion of customer product qualification.
• Serve as technical liaison between customer’s technology groups and HORIBA groups in Japan to expand the business in current and new areas.
• Tests newly developed product functional features as part of the overall product quality review.
• Assists Technical Specialist in training activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
