Description:
Responsibilities:
As the lead psychological practitioner in the UHL T1DE service, you will work with other members of the MDT to provide quality psychological triage, assessment and hold a small caseload of time-limited psychotherapy treatment to patients living with type 1 and disordered eating. There is also opportunity to attend the type 1 MDT to input to wider team case discussions. You’ll have opportunity to utilise your clinical supervision skills, supporting the diabetes specialist nurse and diabetes specialist dietician, working collectively to ensure timely individual interventions are provided and that medical and psychological risks are managed. You’ll also contribute to the leadership of the wider T1DE service, working with the team lead and operational colleagues. You will need to have contact with wider partners including the locally provided eating disorder service, medical psychology and secondary mental healthcare.
