Description:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse population of students, staff, faculty, and others.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Record systems (EMR) and Practice Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong ability to be flexible, multitask, and prioritize.
  • Good problem solving skills including the ability to apply judgment for problem resolutions based on delegated authority from manager and/or according to established procedures and guidelines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred experience in medical office, student health office ambulatory care or physical therapy department.
  • Professional experience in a college/university setting.
  • Experience with insurance and billing.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

The Campus Health Administrative Support Associate is assigned to perform administrative functions primarily for the Physical Therapy Department.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process and schedule patients in a prompt, professional manner to phone and in person requests for appointments
  • Maximize appointment availability through use of effective scheduling methods
  • Manage the physical therapist/provider schedules and coordinate the volunteer work program.
  • Maintain needed supplies,
  • Provide solutions by being knowledgeable to resolve referral and insurance issues
  • Assist the physical therapists with transitions between patients
  • Adhere to safety health laws and regulations
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists at primary care, gynecology services and centennial reception as needed.
  • Fields telephone calls, conduct chart/ health form searches, assist with appointment preparation, Scanning, filing, release of information and all other medical record related duties.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
