JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Third year Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. This role requires a strong willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills while contributing to the overall success of our service department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic mechanical knowledge with a keen interest in automotive repair is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive maintenance.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn from experienced mechanics and take constructive feedback positively.
  • A valid driver’s license is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components as directed by senior technicians.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various automotive repair tasks.
  • Learn to read and interpret automotive schematics to understand vehicle systems.
  • Support the team in heavy lifting and moving parts or equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Follow all safety protocols and dealership policies while performing duties.
