ABOUT US

Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Apprentice Avionics, you will board on an exciting journey to develop your skills and knowledge in the aviation industry. This role is designed for enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will play a crucial role in supporting our aircraft maintenance team, ensuring our fleet remains at the pinnacle of safety and performance. Under supervision of the Senior Base Engineer or Base Engineer you will carry-out avionics repairs and line maintenance on Air Inuit’s fleet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out aircraft and base tasks, as they are assigned by an authorized signatory.
  • Maintain AMO facilities as directed.
  • Assist in routine inspections, avionics repairs, and maintenance of aircraft systems and components.
  • Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Work alongside seasoned engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in aviation technology and practices.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks in line with the Department’s operational needs.
