For this vacancy you’ll undertake an apprenticeship qualification. Building Services Engineering makes buildings work. Service and Maintenance Engineers play a key role in planning and completing a range of maintenance work encompassing industrial and commercial building services engineering systems such as ventilating, heating, water supply, waste (effluent discharge) and drainage. This includes related electrical isolation, disconnection, reconnection and reactivation. They also complete planned preventative maintenance and undertake any required remedial repairs. In addition, they monitor and manage the operation of plant and equipment through building and energy management systems. During the apprenticeship, you are required to achieve the Level 3 Heating and Ventilating Craftsperson qualification. What do we look for in our apprentices?

  • You should be committed to learning and completing studies in your chosen pathway
  • You will have Maths and English Level 4-9 or equivalent/ Scottish National 5 certificates grade A to C and you should be able to provide certificates at interview

This is a unique opportunity to work with Mitie across two prestigious contracts, becoming embedded with two different teams across two locations. The candidate will be expected to provide their own transport to and from the place of work, working across the two locations on a 12-week rotation. The two sites are approximately 5 miles apart.
The learning provider supporting this apprenticeship is based in Worcester and supports the learner through remote learning (MS Teams). PC or laptop will be provided by Mitie to enable this. The learner will be required to attend the GLP training college in Worcester every 12 weeks (including an overnight stay) for formal learning. Travel & accommodation (as required) will be organised and funded by Mitie
