Flux Renewables is a leading provider of Premium Solar Solutions. We design, install, and maintain solar systems for residential & commercial clients in Southern Alberta.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking immediately, a reliable, genuine & enthusiastic individual to join our team as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Apprentice Electrician in the solar industry. Applicant must currently reside in the Calgary area.
In this role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems. You will work closely with a Journeyperson to execute projects with the standard of quality unmatched in the industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High attention to detail
  • Ownership of hand and power tools commonly used in the electrical trade.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record & reliable transportation
  • Comfortable with heights and outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs to a roof
  • Willing to work out of town occasionally
  • Solar installation experience is a strong asset
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including mounting panels, connecting wiring, and installing inverters and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of solar systems when required.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of projects and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records & photos of work performed and materials used.
