Description:

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Apprentice- Engine Technician to join our team specializing in Service for our Distribution Business Segment in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • By obtaining a nationally recognized and fully qualified Cummins Diesel Fitter qualification
  • Bring your enquiring mind for resolving technical engine problems
  • Contribute your enthusiasm, determination, positive attitude to an Apprentice Program that will grow your career
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and maintain a safe workplace and prevent incidents

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • A Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (NSC) from a South African school system and a N2 (Nated certificate) with subjects passed in Engineering Drawing, Engineering Science, Mathematics, and Diesel or Motor Trade Theory.

OR

  • A Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (NSC) from a South African school system and a NCV Level 4 qualification

OR

  • An NCV Level 4 qualification which includes subjects passed in Engineering Process, Professional Engineering Practical, Applied Engineering Technology, Automotive Repair & Maintenance and Mathematics.

Responsibilities:

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

  • Strong Mechanical Knowledge, demonstrating knowledge of Cummins and industry standards, comply with safe work procedures and apply mechanical principles to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Product Repair and Maintenance by efficiently repairing and maintaining mechanical products, disassemble, clean, inspect, troubleshoot and reassemble engines
