POSITION OVERVIEW

Velocity Truck Centre / First Truck Centre has an exciting opening for a 1st to 4th year Apprentice Heavy Duty Service Technician at our Abbotsford, BC branch. Working in our shop the technician will contribute in one of Canada’s best managed companies. Be a part of a team that takes trucking to the next level of quality and professionalism. QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
• Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) experience.
• Heavy Truck and Trailer subject matter expert.
• Heavy Duty Mechanic experience with on highway trucks.
• Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment
• Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift
• Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided)
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus
