We employ Millwrights, Welders, and Electricians to build, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment on our client’s sites. OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic (millwright) 3rd or 4th year apprentice to join our team. This is part-time employment starting at 2-3 days per week. There may be more work available to the right candidate. Applicants may be unemployed or a person working rotation looking to pick up additional work on days off, or somebody already working part time, or working odd shifts and looking for extra work. Must have weekday availability! Candidates with weekend only availability will not be considered. Ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery. Additional skills in welding, fabricating, and electrical systems is an asset. Must have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot various mechanical issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid apprenticeship status and current bluebook.
- Mechanical skillset and understanding of machine components.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
- Familiarity with electrical components, PLC’s, and CNC machines an asset, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and diagrams an asset, but not required.
- Some welding experience is an asset.
- Other related Journeyman tickets are always welcome.
- Must be willing to support other trades if required.
- Must have own basic tools.

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair machines and mechanical systems on a client to client basis.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, and adjust machine components and systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair/replace basic electrical controls.
- Read and work from drawings, diagrams, and manuals to determine work procedures.
- Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and determine corrective actions and repairs.
- Complete and submit all work related paperwork in a timely manner.
- Perform work safely and professionally at all times.
