Description:
ARC Costs are a Bolton based digital Costs Draftsman/Lawyer services provider, who assist Solicitors in recovering their legal fees, and also in providing advocacy services at CCMCs and detailed assessment hearings.
We focus on providing our staff with a healthy work/life balance, which incorporates a relaxed office atmosphere, increased holiday allowances for your birthday and length of employment as well as the opportunity to work remotely 2 days per week once probation periods have been passed. The individual will also have the opportunity to join our target incentive with rewards such as: 4-day work weeks for hitting weekly targets, monthly financial bonuses and pay-rises, and a prize for the top performer of the month.
Whilst part of the role can be on a remote-access/distance-role basis, the individual should be able to comfortably commute to our Bolton office full-time for the initial training period.
We are recruiting for a full-time Apprentice Costs Draftsperson role in our Bolton office; the successful candidate will have experience of, or be able to demonstrate:
- A minimum of A-Level qualifications. preferably in written or analytical subjects such as English, Maths or Science;
- Any knowledge of legal processes is beneficial, but this is not essential for a Trainee role and we will provide full on the job training;
- Have strong written communication skills, and the ability to write long letters and well worded emails in order to make well-structured submissions/advice;
- Have good Excel knowledge and capabilities;
- Have a confident telephone manner and be capable of taking calls and comfortable discussing matters over the phone.
Successful candidates will be required to work from the office in the first instance for 5 days a week so that adequate training can be provided, but remote working opportunities will be provided once the successful candidate is able to fulfill their duties without active supervision.
The role also offers significant progression opportunities, with pro-active pay reviews monthly as part of our 1% incentive and bonus scheme, supplemented by performance based reviews. Those who remain with us for in excess of a year will also be eligible to apply for part-subsidised Costs Lawyer study so that formal qualifications can be obtained to be regulated by the CLSB as a Costs Lawyer.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend our Bolton office for a full work day, to engage in a short initial interview, complete aptitude tests, as well as complete an initial work trial.
Salary is dependant upon age and qualifications of candidate, with any successful pre-degree level candidates requiring to participate in an apprenticeship learning programme.
