About the Role:
Are you looking to kickstart your career in logistics and supply chain management? This apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity for you!
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Hemel Hempstead, ideally to start in late September early October.
Over the course of this 42-month apprenticeship, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience while working towards a BSc (Hons) in Professional Practice in Supply Chain Leadership.
As part of our team, you will play an essential role in the delivery of spare parts to internal and external customers, ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. You will work closely with our 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) partners and Global Supply Chain team to maintain exceptional customer service standards.
What You Will Learn:

During the program, you will gain exposure to key aspects of supply chain management, including:

  • Inventory Management: Ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand
  • Order Fulfilment: Managing the efficient processing and delivery of orders
  • Route Optimization: Planning the most efficient delivery routes
  • Cost Control: Managing expenses to ensure profitability
  • Export Compliance: Understanding the rules and regulations for international shipments

This role will allow you to develop skills to initiate best practices for driving productivity and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the spare parts delivery process to ensure internal and external customers receive orders on time
  • Collaborate with our 3PL and Global Supply Chain teams to maintain high customer service standards
  • Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems
  • Help ensure compliance with export regulations and logistics standards

Candidate Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years old before July 2024. The position is subject to satisfactory background checks and/or National Security Vetting
  • Level 2 qualifications in GCSE Maths and English
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Passion for logistics, supply chain management, and delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a fast-paced work environment
