JOB DESCRIPTION

We are searching for individuals who possess the following key responsibilities and skills to work for Villeneuve Construction.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • computer literate;
  • strong attention to details;
  • must be able to perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions;
  • good communication skills;
  • strong team player;
  • willing to travel and must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:

  • truck and trailer inspections and repairs;
  • inspect, repair and adjust diesel powered units;
  • diagnose heavy duty equipment problems;
  • perform mechanical repairs on equipment and truck and trailers in the shop and field calls when required;
  • installation and repair of attachments;
  • troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
  • repair cooling and lubrication systems;
  • repair and maintain drive-trains;
  • perform incidental welding operations on equipment;
  • test repaired equipment for proper performance;
  • perform preventive maintenance work;
  • instruct and help apprentices;
  • keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
