Job Title: Physiotherapy Apprenticeship
Work Base: Learning Disability Service South Hub, Johnson Hospital Spalding
Duration: 33 months
Salary: The apprenticeship will be covered by the apprenticeship levy. The apprenticeship post is pad as per training contract (Annex21 of Agenda for Change Handbook)

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our AHPs in LPFT and complete the your training to be an physiotherapist with Sheffield Hallam University whilst working from your base at our Learning Disability Service South Hub based at Johnson Hospital.
You will learn new skills, study a BSc Physiotherapy degree and develop as an individual. The course normally takes 33 months.
During your apprenticeship, you will have blocks of study in Univeristy and then spend time working alongside a physiotherapist at your workbase and will also have the opportunity to experience placements within Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust and across the health system in Lincolnshire.
The trust provides mental health and learning disabilities services across the whole of the county of Lincolnshire and therefore placements may be at any geographical area of the county. Successful applicants will be required to travel independently around to county to fulfil these placements.
Travel to SHU will be funded personally by the apprentice. There may support to fund travel to and from a placement that is significantly further than your usual work to home travel in negotiation with your manager. Any academic requirements (such as textbooks) costs would be at the expense of the apprentice (subject to requirements of the levy).

1. To work under the overall supervision of a qualified physiotherapist to provide a client-centred occupational therapy service to a defined caseload of service users with complex needs.
2. To support the physiotherapist in the implementation of intervention plans aimed at helping clients to maintain and regain mobility, movement and function.
3. To complete the physiotherapy degree level apprenticeship and gain full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) on qualifying
