Job Description
King and Moffatt Building Services is currently looking to hire a number of Pipe Fitter Apprentices for our Off-site facility in Carrick-on-Shannon.
This is a 4-year Solas apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to earn as you learn, while becoming a fully qualified Pipefitter, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Leaving Certificate
• A positive attitude towards learning and the ability to solve problems
• Under supervision, efficiently work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent communicate skills
• Demonstrate good work practices including timekeeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness
• CSCS Skill Card/Safe Pass ideally

• Work with a variety of specialized hand and power tools
• Develop a knowledge of a range of piping systems
• Perform a range of welding processes
• Interpretate pipefitting drawings and specifications
• Plan and organize the installation of piping systems
• Inspect and test piping systems and fault diagnosis
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on piping systems
• Day to day liaison with the Supervisor
• Secure pipes to the building structure in an approved manner.
• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
