Could you be joining us for our 2024 intake of Quality Engineering Apprentices?
We are holding an assessment day for these positions on Thursday 22nd August you must be available to attend at our Dalton site.
We’re current looking to recruit 2 Quality Engineer Apprentices, to join out Quality Team at Severfields. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skills as a Quality Engineer apprentice, while undertaking a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician course at York College. Working closely with a team of Quality experts you will be supporting on a wide range of activities including quality control and assurance, inspection and testing, data collection and analysis specific to the structural steel industry working collaboratively across functions to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Severfield is widely recognised for its iconic structures and engineering excellence. Our projects vary from large portal frame industrial warehouses and multi-storey office buildings to prestige and high-profile stadia steel structures and leisure venues.
The successful candidates will work in our Dalton office, learning the role with guidance and support from experienced quality engineers who will be mentoring you throughout your journey. You will also study, 1 day a week from York College to gain the theoretical knowledge alongside your practical skills.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of completion of A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 NVQ qualifications. We are looking for someone with an interest in engineering and or mechanics, who is eager to learn and develop their skills. You’ll also have strong attention to detail and organizations skills and a problem-solving mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
