Responsibilities:

Bespak are looking for an Apprentice Service Desk Analyst for the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. This permanent position has a salary of between £16,500 and £24,000 dependent on the level of the apprenticeship offered, plus a discretionary annual bonus. Other benefits you will receive are 25 days leave plus bank holidays, a generous 10% pension contribution, and medical / dental / health / life assurance.
This is an interactive role where you will be the first point of call on the IT service desk so you will be talking to people throughout the day about their IT requests. As an IT Apprentice, you will be supporting/learning from the IS Service desk team who are responsible for the day-to-day IT Support across the Holmes Chapel site. You will be a key part in contributing towards the smooth running of key IT operational functions across the business. Previous apprentices have gone on to work within our IT department in roles such as Service Desk Analyst, Incident Management Analyst & Applications Support Analyst.
We are flexible, so can tailor our apprenticeship program to offer either a Level 3 or degree apprenticeship, depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications and career goals.
Level 3 Advanced IT Apprenticeship which requires 5 GCSE or equivalent passes at grades 9-4 including English and Maths.
Level 6 IT Degree Apprenticeship which requires a Level 3 IT qualification or 3-A level passes preferably in STEM subjects.

As an Apprentice Service Desk Analyst, your duties will include:

  • Greeting members of staff who come to IT to understand their requests.
  • Track IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Provide IT support for all on-site employees.
  • Support staff desk monitors, laptops, printers, and meeting room equipment.
  • Develop good working relationships with, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Liaise with suppliers to look at costs and purchase and configure software/hardware.
