Location: Thornton Cleveleys
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am – 2.30pm.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 GCSE’s at “C” or above (or equivalent qualification)

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • A proven or enthusiastic interest in service engineering/plant mechanics

Responsibilities:

  • Shadowing experienced service engineers
  • Learn fault finding based on customer and operator reports
  • Understand how of complete routine inspections on engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems, tyres and the plants’ frame to identify faults and general wear and tear
  • Learn how to dismantle, repair or replace faulty parts
  • Reassembling parts and testing plant machinery to make sure it is working correctly and safely
  • Keeping comprehensive record logs of any work completed to evidence learning and development
