YOUR EXPERIENCE
The most important attribute for the role is a great attitude and willingness to learn, but you will also need to:
- Have an interest in maritime or previously have worked around ships/boats
- Have great communication skills and enjoy interacting with different groups of people
- Be prepared to work in confined spaces and at heights
Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
Working centrally in Woolloomooloo’s Garden Island, on Gadigal land you will work as part of a team that are responsible for ship repair and maintenance. Studying a Certificate III in Marine Craft Construction you will also learn the ropes in a supportive team.
You can expect to:
- Work in a team to undertake docking and undocking of various types of vessels
- Be trained to set up docking cradle for various types of vessels, both large and small
- Undertake multi-skilled activities in all aspects of ship repair and maintenance
