SALARY: £40,000 TO £45,000 PER ANNUM, DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE

At KnowledgeBrief, we are pioneers in Leadership and Management training, using our innovative KBPro platform. We’re seeking an Apprenticeship Compliance Manager to ensure our apprenticeship programmes are compliant, well-funded, and operationally smooth.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of ESFA funding rules, apprenticeship funding models, and ILR management.
- Extensive experience in managing ESFA funding compliance, including audits and queries.
- Experience with Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proven leadership ability to develop and manage teams aligned with organisational goals.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring high standards are maintained.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Experience leading internal training sessions on compliance, funding, and quality assurance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- IQA Qualification (essential).
- Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in teaching/training (essential).
- Leadership and Management qualifications (desirable).

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are expanding our apprenticeship portfolio and are looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Compliance Manager to manage our funding and compliance functions. Reporting to the Operations & Quality Director, you will be responsible for accurate ILR submissions, maintaining compliant learner evidence packs, and overseeing the Digital Account System (DAS). You will liaise between commercial and operations teams to optimise funding opportunities and maintain ESFA compliance. This role also involves conducting internal audits, training staff on funding regulations, and staying updated on funding requirements. Additionally, you will line manage a team of Onboarding & Compliance officers, ensuring their continuous professional development and wellbeing.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Manage the timely and accurate submission of the ILR, ensuring monthly uploads align with ESFA regulations to secure funding and maitain financial health.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of evidence packs for all learners on programme, ensuring documentation is ready for audits and funding claims.
- Manage the Digital Account System (DAS) account, ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance.
- Liaise with clients directly to ensure timely DAS submissions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the commercial and operations teams to optimise funding opportunities while maintaining compliance.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for the operations team on funding regulations and compliance best practices.
- Plan and execute regular internal compliance audits to assess adherence to funding regulations, identifying non-compliance early and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee the accurate completion of the PDSAT to ensure compliance with ESFA requirements.
- Prepare and present monthly reports to the board on funding and compliance activities.
- Stay updated on funding regulations to ensure organisational practices comply with current requirements.
- Assist the commercial team with funding applications and address funding-related queries from clients or partners.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and records for audits and reviews.
- Manage the at-risk function, supporting learners at risk of not completing their programmes.
- Line manage a team of Onboarding & Compliance officers, promoting their continuous professional development, wellbeing, and performance.
