Description:
Are you passionate about fostering a culture of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within an educational setting? Do you have a strong background in managing apprenticeships and work-based learning? If so, we invite you to join our dynamic team as the Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning Manager for EDI.
In this key role, you will lead and develop EDI initiatives within our apprenticeship provision, ensuring that our Employer Engagement and Coaching staff are fully equipped to embed EDI practices throughout our onboarding processes and programme delivery. You will be at the forefront of operational excellence, coordinating EDI training, and ensuring that our practices align with the university’s strategic goals
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A strong commitment to EDI principles and the ability to inspire and lead others in embedding these values within their work.
- Proven experience in managing apprenticeships or work-based learning programmes, with a track record of achieving KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication and partnership-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programmes, particularly related to EDI.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
At Sheffield Hallam, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of apprentices, ensuring they receive a high-quality education that embraces diversity and inclusivity. You will be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This job involves working with or having regular contact with children and/or vulnerable adults. All employers are required to access the criminal records of people seeking to work with children and/or vulnerable adults. This is referred to as a DBS check and is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
If you are successful, you will be asked to apply for an Enhanced with lists check through the DBS. You will be sent a DBS Application Form and guidance at that stage.
Please note that you cannot begin employment until a satisfactory disclosure has been received. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from taking up the post, but its relevance to the duties of the role will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed.
For this job we particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic applicants who are underrepresented in this area/ this type of job at Sheffield Hallam.
The role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route so if you are an international applicant, you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
We welcome applications for job-share, part-time and flexible working arrangement
