Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

If you an experienced APS 6 Senior Secretariat Officer with demonstrated ability to manage committees, projects and workloads with competing and changing priorities, looking for a 12-month contract and are based in Canberra, then this may be the role for you!

DUTIES:

  • Provide secretariat and operational support to the Board, its advisory committees and the agency’s senior internal management committee.
  • Work in a high paced environment with tight and competing deadlines to deliver work to a high standard to meet the agency’s requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Executive, senior managers and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, complete tasks and prepare relevant briefing and reporting as required.
  • Ensure the maintenance and records management of all Board and committee records and support the setting of forward agendas.
  • Undertake a range of tasks including organising payment and reconciliation of invoices and accounts, arranging travel and organising meetings and catering for those meetings and events.
