A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

The Land Transport Infrastructure Division plays a key role in the planning, management and delivery of major road and rail infrastructure projects funded through the Australian Government’s Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP). The Division develops policy advice to Government on infrastructure investment, and works closely with agencies in the Australian, state and territory governments on issues such as infrastructure planning, funding, delivery and financing.
The RPM (Reporting and Program Management System) Taskforce works closely with key stakeholders including the broader workforce and senior executive within the Department, as well as, external State and Local Government Stakeholders. This is in order to support the implementation, sustainment and enhancement of the future application solution used to support the Federal Governments administration of the $123 billion infrastructure investment pipeline.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Employment with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts is subject to conditions prescribed within the Public Service Act 1999 including:

  • Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts applicants must be an Australian citizen at the time of submitting your application.
  • Health Assessment: The preferred applicant may be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the department’s preferred medical provider.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to obtain and/or maintain a security clearance at Baseline Level. You must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information. You must have lived in Australia, or have a checkable background, for at least the preceding five years for Baseline Vetting clearances. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.
  • Qualifications: Certificates or tertiary qualifications related to Information Technology or Business Management would be of advantage but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In this role, you will:

  • Assist users in operating the department’s Infrastructure Management System and the Reporting and Program Management Portal and System to fulfil their reporting obligations
  • Log, respond to and resolve service requests, information requests, incidents, problems and requests for access and change from users via approved channels
  • Perform problem analysis, issue logging and issue management activities as directed
  • Maintain user guides and update other support materials
  • Undertake ongoing business-as-usual support and maintenance activities.
