Responsibilities:
PURPOSE
Due to steady and planned growth Guardian Chemicals Inc. is looking to add an additional person to the Finance & Admin team, to support Accounts Receivables and our Order Desk. As a member of the finance and admin team the job purpose of the role is to support the efficient management of accounts receivable while delivering excellent customer service to support the sales process and maintain positive customer relationships.
As, AR & Orderdesk support, you will be part time responsible for supporting full cycle accounts receivables and collections and part time responsible for customer service and order entry responsibilities in support of the sales team.
These two functions work closely together, and this role is a natural extension of that close working relationship. The person will be required to provide capacity to both, improve the interactions between them and provide cover for both functions.
This is a great opportunity for someone to gain exposure to two functions and for someone who likes a bit of variety in their working day.
The role is ideally suited to someone with an accounting background looking to gain experience across two disciplines or someone with good office management experience who has had exposure to AR, AP, orders and sales.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
This is a full-time permanent position where your focus will be on supporting the administration team, specifically the order desk and accounts receivable. Your tasks will include billing and invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliation, reporting and documentation, customer service/inside sales, order entry and customs.
As an ambassador for Guardian Chemicals, you will provide excellence in customer service, administration, and communication. The ideal candidate must be people oriented, have meticulous attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time. You must be able to manage time sensitive tasks.

- Strong competent knowledge of accounting concepts, accounts receivable in particular would be beneficial

- 3 years’ or more of accounting/order desk/accounts receivable or similar experience preferred
- An undergraduate degree is preferred
