Description:

Robert Half has partnered with a stable manufacturer within the Montgomery County area, on their search for an AR Specialist with proven full cycle accounts receivable expertise. In this role you will handle customer payment discrepancies, process cash receipts, place collection calls, reconcile credit card and cash receipt transactions, track customer credit worthiness, prepare credit memos/invoices, and perform credit checks. The successful AR Specialist will also manage credit risk, maintain customer accounts, and assist with billing. If you are looking for a promising AR role with longevity, this may be for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full cycle accounts receivable process
  • Utilize large ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for various tasks
  • Manage vendor relationships and setup
  • Handle collections and ensure timely payments
  • Adhere to GAAP standards in all accounting tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive banking and financial information
  • Implement automation systems like Xsuite for efficiency
  • Use Excel for pivot tables and v-look ups
  • Ensure adherence to established processes while maintaining a critical thinking approach
  • Participate in the implementation of SAP 4Hanna when required
  • Conduct account coding, use of accounting software systems, and ADP - Financial Services
  • Perform accounting functions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Handle auditing, billing functions, full cycle accounting, and cash collections
  • Oversee collection operations and processes.
    The ideal AR Specialist will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the AR Specialist role include and are not limited to:

  • 2+ years of accounts receivable experience
  • SAP or Oracle preferred, SAP 4Hanna a plus
  • GAAP knowledge required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, pivot tables/v-lookups
  • Vertex a plus
