We are seeking a highly skilled and driven IT professional to join our dynamic infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with a strong technical background, capable of analyzing, monitoring, and resolving complex system issues. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the seamless operation of both Windows and Linux systems across on-premises environments and cloud platforms.
In this role, you will be tasked with optimizing system performance, enhancing security protocols, and ensuring high availability of our infrastructure. You will also be expected to lead initiatives aimed at improving operational processes, standardizing procedures, and ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date documentation is in place.
As a leader within the team, you will take charge of various project work, driving these initiatives to successful completion. Your ability to lead by example will be crucial, as you will set the standard for excellence within the team. Additionally, you will provide expert-level (Tier 3) IT support to your colleagues, serving as a critical resource for resolving advanced technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Academic Background: A degree in a related discipline is highly desirable (e.g., B.Eng., B.Sc.).
- Extensive Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in systems infrastructure, highlighting a robust and diverse technical background.
- Microsoft Platforms Expertise: Deep technical expertise in Microsoft platforms and technologies, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, and database management.
- Linux/Unix Proficiency: Strong technical acumen in Linux/Unix platforms and associated technologies.
- Cloud Infrastructure Mastery: Extensive knowledge and experience with cloud infrastructure services, particularly Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), with a preference for Azure.
- Networking Proficiency: Solid understanding and application of networking principles, with a comprehensive grasp of cloud-based networking (preferably within Azure).
- Aruba Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Aruba systems is considered advantageous.
- Scripting Capabilities: Proficient in scripting with Bash and PowerShell, enabling automation and efficient system management.
- Intune Experience: Hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and managing Microsoft Intune.
- Backup Management: Proven experience in system backups, covering SQL, Veeam, Windows/Linux, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- System Maintenance: Expertise in system inventory management, monitoring, and patching to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Disaster Recovery: Experience in developing and executing disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Helpdesk Support Tool Experience: Proficient in using helpdesk support tools for efficient IT support operations.
- Hardware Expertise: Technical knowledge of HP servers and SAN (Storage Area Network) is considered an asset.
- Active Directory Administration: Proficient in Active Directory administration, both on-premises and in the cloud (Azure).
- Office 365 Administration: Experienced in managing Office 365 tenant administration and related services.
- Project Delivery: Demonstrated success in delivering IT development projects, from system implementation to ongoing business support.
- Comprehensive Implementation Experience: Involved in multiple phases of system implementation, including selection, design, development, testing, and post-deployment support.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, essential for addressing complex IT challenges.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities:
- Deploy and Maintain Infrastructure: Lead the deployment and ongoing maintenance of server systems both on-premises and in cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Systems Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network and server systems to ensure high availability and stability across all environments.
- Hyper-V Cluster Management: Oversee the management, monitoring, and optimization of Hyper-V clusters to support robust virtualization solutions.
- SAN (Storage Area Network) Storage Solutions: Administer and maintain multi-shelf SAN storage solutions, ensuring efficient data management and availability.
- Security Management: Ensure the timely application of security patches for servers and network hardware, adhering to a rigorous monthly update schedule to safeguard the infrastructure.
- IT Hardware and Software Deployment: Manage the deployment, installation, and ongoing support of IT hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration into the existing infrastructure.
- Architectural Collaboration: Actively participate in discussions around system architecture and configurations, contributing insights that drive the strategic evolution of the infrastructure.
- System Utilization and Capacity Management: Monitor, document, and report on system utilization and capacity metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize resource allocation.
- Root Cause Analysis and Resolution: Diagnose and develop solutions for recurring system issues, implementing changes that prevent future occurrences.
- Resource Optimization: Implement innovative changes to optimize the performance and efficiency of existing hardware and network resources.
- Escalation Support: Provide expert-level escalation support for the IT Helpdesk, resolving complex issues and ensuring service continuity.
- Third-Party Coordination: Take ownership of, and lead the solutioning process with third-party support providers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with equipment and software vendors, maintaining strong relationships to facilitate effective support and procurement processes.
- Documentation Management: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Staff Training: Lead the training of support staff in recent technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- On-Call Support Rotation: Participate in the on-call support rotation, providing critical support outside of regular business hours to maintain operational integrity.
