YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS
- Requisite knowledge of applicable building codes.
- Knowledge of building construction systems, materials, and industry associated standards.
- Detailed understanding of all phases of architectural design and document production.
- Ability to conduct space planning in coordination with building program.
- To manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
- To communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Revit, Newforma.
- Able to work independently.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture with minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
- Professional registration as an Architect in Canada is required.
- Previous experience in the Healthcare or Higher Education sectors is required.
The work is conducted in a studio / team environment in an office setting, working with computers. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and be responsible for projects of medium complexity/size.
- Utilize BIM technologies to develop three-dimensional designs of buildings.
- Interpret and apply building codes and requirements of other regulatory agencies.
- Prepare project documentation in all architectural phases.
- Leads bidding and negotiation phase tasks.
- Lead contract administration phase tasks.
- Lead project coordination and meetings with internal team members, external consultants, owners and their stakeholders, contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Prepare project specifications.
- Follow quality control procedures established by the practice.
