Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As a Cyber Security Architect , you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing a robust security architecture that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. This senior-level position requires deep expertise in security architecture, risk management, and compliance frameworks, as well as the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into every aspect of the system development life cycle (SDLC).

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of a secure architecture, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational security policies.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture artifacts (e.g., models, templates, standards) that guide security decisions throughout the project. Ensure that the security architecture integrates seamlessly with the existing IT and business architecture.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Develop and maintain threat models to anticipate and mitigate potential threats, ensuring that security controls are implemented effectively.
  • Ensure that the security architecture complies with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA NIST, SOC 2, and GDPR.
  • Integrate security into all phases of the software development life cycle, from initial design through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Work closely with the development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure that security requirements are incorporated into the design and coding practices.
  • Conduct secure code reviews and collaborate with Application Security Specialists to ensure that applications are developed securely.
  • Oversee the implementation of security monitoring and incident response capabilities, ensuring that the system is monitored for security events in Realtime.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response teams to ensure that security incidents are detected and responded to promptly and effectively.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the security team, guiding engineers, and analysts in security best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, operations, and business units, to ensure that security is embedded in all aspects of the project.
  • Lead security related discussions with senior management and stakeholders, providing expert advice on security risks and strategies.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and continuously seek opportunities to improve the security architecture and practices.
  • Prepare and present security reports to senior management, highlighting key security metrics, risks, and recommendations.
